Do I need arch support?

Healthy feet have a natural arch, the same shape as an arched bridge. If you apply pressure upwards to the center of a bridge, you take away the strength of the structure. Therefore we believe that for most people shoes without arch support is the better choice. We believe in naturally strengthening your feet through exercises and going barefoot instead of making them lazy by compensating with external support.

We do recommend transitioning slowly to build up your foot flexibility and strength before you move entirely into barefoot-inspired footwear. However, as we don’t know your specific medical conditions and are no medical professionals, we highly recommend that you talk to an experienced podiatrist, who can evaluate your situation and recommend exercises or other treatments to improve your foot health.
