Feelgrounds Mesh styles:
Our Mesh styles are designed with an extra breathable mesh material. That's why they aren’t water-repellent or waterproof.
Feelgrounds Knit styles:
The upper material of our Knit styles is coated with a water-repellent treatment of wax and silicone (PFC-free, PFOA-free, PFOS-free). To strengthen the protective barrier against dirt and moisture, we recommend using an impregnation spray before you first wear your Feelgrounds Knit. For best results, refresh the application regularly. Please note that water-repellent is not waterproof. Waterproof shoes (e.g. rubber boots) completely prevent the penetration of water, while a water-repellent treatment only delays the immediate penetration of water into the shoes.
Feelgrounds Patrol Winter boots:
The Patrol Winter is fully waterproof, snowproof, and winterproof. Its upper is made from faux leather and all seams are thoroughly sealed. Additionally, it features a waterproof membrane for double-protection. The boots also come with a waterproof gusset piece to prevent water from penetrating the boot through the tongue area. If you’re looking for more breathable boots that are only water-repellent, you might prefer our Patrol Lite boots. You can read details about the comparison of Patrol Winter vs Patrol Lite in this blog post.
Feelgrounds Patrol Lite & Chelsea boots:
Compared to the Patrol Winter, the Patrol Lite & Chelsea are more breathable, as they have no additional waterproof membrane. Patrol Lite & Chelsea therefore aren't fully waterproof, but only water-repellent. You can read details about the comparison of Patrol Lite vs Patrol Winter in this blog post.
Feelgrounds Luxe styles:
The faux leather upper of our Luxe styles is water-repellent. However, the seams are not sealed like they are with our fully waterproof Patrol Winter boot. Therefore, water can penetrate through the seams (and of course from the top and laterally of the tongue) when exposed to rain, puddles etc. Our Luxe styles are therefore more water-repellent than our Knit styles, but less water-repellent than our Patrol boots.
Feelgrounds Seaside sandals:
Due to the natural cork insole, the sandals are not suitable to be worn in the water as this will damage the cork. Please note that cork may change its look when getting in contact with moisture. Therefore, discoloration over time, e.g. due to sweat, is normal.
Feelgrounds Pathway:
Our Pathway sandal is primarily designed as an urban causal footwear option. While the sole of Pathway is made from water-resistant materials, we haven't specifically developed or tested these sandals as water shoes. The main concern is the durability and performance of the straps when they are fully soaked. Additionally, the grip and fit of the sandals may be affected when wet. Therefore, we do not recommend wearing them in water. However, if you plan to wear the Pathway sandals near water or encounter accidental splashes or light moisture, they should hold up well.
