At Feelgrounds, we offer a range of barefoot shoe models designed to suit different needs and weather conditions – from ultra-breathable styles for warm days to water-repellent and winter proof options for rain and cold.

Feelgrounds Mesh Models (Original Mesh, Original Mesh Kids, Droptop Mesh)
The Mesh’s upper is made from a breathable mesh, perfect for warmer days. It’s the most breathable model in our lineup.

Feelgrounds Knit Models (Original Knit, Highrise Knit, Droptop Knit)
Our Knit models come with a slightly water-repellent treatment, which makes this model a great all-round sneaker. For this treatment, we use only natural waxes and silicone – completely free from PFAS or PFCs.
These shoes are a great option for transitional weather. While they are not as breathable as our Mesh models, they offer a comfortable fit and reliable protection from light rain and splashes.

Feelgrounds Canvas Models (Courtside Canvas, Docks, Arcade Kids)
Our Canvas models are breathable and particularly well suited for warmer weather. The upper is made from natural cotton, which ensures breathability and helps maintain a pleasant foot climate even during longer wear.
Thanks to the simple, thoughtful construction – consisting of just two layers: a cotton outer and a lightweight lining – unnecessary heat buildup is avoided. They may not be as airy as our Mesh models – but if you love the comfort of natural materials, Canvas is a great everyday companion, even on warmer days.

The upper of the Move model is made from natural TENCEL™ Lyocell, a material known for its breathability and moisture-wicking abilities. It helps keep your feet cool and dry during workouts and is naturally odor-resistant – making it a great choice for athletic use.

Feelgrounds Faux Leather Sneakers (Original Luxe, Highrise Luxe, Droptop Luxe, Original Luxe Kids, Highrise Luxe Kids, Courtside Classic, Courtside Mid, Snap)
Crafted from soft faux leather, these models may offer less breathability – but in return, they’re water-repellent and perfect for damp days or unpredictable weather.

Feelgrounds Boots (Chelsea, Chelsea Kids, Patrol Lite, Patrol Winter, Patrol Winter Kids, Chukka)
Our Chelsea, Chelsea Kids and Patrol Lite Boots are made from faux leather with a water-repellent finish. They are designed to keep your feet warm and dry in cool, wet conditions, but keep in mind they are less breathable than some of our lighter, more natural-material styles. The Patrol Winter and Patrol Winter Kids go a step further with a fully waterproof membrane. While it offers excellent protection in cold and wet weather, it has no breathability and is better suited for outdoor use in winter than for indoor or warm-weather wear.
The Chukka, on the other hand, features a breathable upper made from Abacá (a banana plant fiber) and cotton. The soft, brushed cotton twill lining offers lasting comfort and allows for good airflow and lastly, the collar is made with TENCEL™ Lyocell,a material known for its breathability and moisture-wicking abilities.
Despite its PFC-free, lightly water-repellent coating, breathability remains intact – slightly lower than our canvas styles (Courtside Canvas & Docks), but still well-balanced for everyday use in variable conditions.

Feelgrounds Sandals (Seaside Twill, Seaside Luxe, Seaside Bamboo, Pathway)
All Feelgrounds sandals feature an open design that naturally allows for airflow, helping to keep your feet cool. However, breathability also depends on the materials used.
The Seaside Twill is our most breathable sandal. It features cotton straps and a natural cork insole, offering excellent ventilation and a soft, natural feel.
Seaside Luxe comes with faux leather straps and either a cork or microfiber insole, depending on the color. This model offers a more polished look, but is less breathable than Seaside Twill due to the synthetic upper.
The Seaside Bamboo is a sustainable option with Banbū Leather™ straps and a cork foot bed. While slightly less breathable than the Seaside Twill, it still provides good airflow and comfort.
Our Pathway sandal features wide, padded straps made from recycled polyester and Lycra, combined with a cushioned EVA insole. While the open design allows some air circulation, this model is the least breathable of the group due to its snug-fitting materials and foam insole—making it best for those prioritizing comfort and a secure fit over maximum ventilation.

It’s best to always wear your Feelgrounds with socks – sports, bamboo, or wool socks are especially good at keeping your feet cool and dry. Our cork insoles can help as well, as they absorb moisture and reduce odor-causing bacteria.
If odor becomes an issue, we recommend using a shoe deodorizer like our Shoe Odor Eliminator Eco. Be sure to let the shoes dry thoroughly after application. Alternatively, placing completely dry shoes in the freezer overnight can help kill bacteria and reduce odors. We also recommend removing the insoles to let them breathe when the shoes are stored.
